Kentucky Organization Is Using St. Patrick’s Day to Fight Human Trafficking

A Kentucky organization held their third annual St. Pat’s Dash in Kereiakes Park, located in Bowling Green, KY to raise money and awareness to fight human trafficking. The organization known as Phoenix Rising raised $1,200, $200 dollars more than their initial goal. Human trafficking is a large problem in south central Kentucky, due in part to a major interstate passing through the region. Interstate 65 is known as a major north-south corridor for the transport of victims of modern day slave traders.
